The future still needs a plan.

Imagine arriving with a saved video full of robots, drones and glowing showrooms. You have one day. Where do you go—and which experiences can you actually access?

A useful Shenzhen tech day starts with one interest: consumer gadgets, electronics markets or science. Build your route around that, then check any app-based experience separately.

Start with something you can explore

Huaqiangbei, Futian: browse electronics markets and ask to see products that interest you. An August 2026 government report identifies SEG Electronics Market and the Electronic Technology Building, including a ground-floor AI hardware selection centre with Chinese and English product information. That does not guarantee English-speaking staff or a particular demonstration on your date. Source: Shenzhen Government Online.

Consumer technology stores: Huawei’s Shenzhen MixC World flagship has an official store page with product support and reservation options for classes and smart-home experiences. Browsing a shop and reserving a specialist session are different activities. Check the branch and session requirements before travelling. Science in Guangming: Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum offers interactive exhibitions spanning communications, smart industries and space. Make it a separate anchor for your day; check current tickets, opening hours and visitor registration before setting off. Explore our museum guide. Source: Guangming District Government.

Check the experience behind the clip

Pony.ai lists Shenzhen among its commercial robotaxi cities. Meituan announced drone delivery to Central Park’s C2 area in 2024. Those sources establish that services exist or have operated; they do not confirm that your account, pickup point or travel date qualifies. Source: Pony.ai; source: Meituan.

Before making either the centrepiece, check the operator’s live app for service area, availability, phone verification, any ID requirements, payment and operating conditions. Overseas phone, passport and payment acceptance have not been confirmed for this guide. Keep a conventional transport or food option available.

Choose a route you can enjoy

Our planning recommendation: choose one area, two priorities and a relaxed meal. A company’s retail store is distinct from its offices or factory; visits to those premises need separate host permission. Named-company access and eVTOL rides are not included in these suggestions.

Visit Shenzhen Unfolded and share your dates and two interests to enquire about a paid private hosted day. Activities and availability need individual confirmation.
